That was a huge change though. It was hard to let go of school, even though I was burnt out. I knew I'd go back but it still felt like part of me was giving up on my dreams, and I was seeing horror stories flash across my mind of all those people who said they'd go back and never did. I refuse to be that person. And it was hard to NOT be in school any more and NOT have a job yet.
Quite obviously, you can't look for work all the time. There's only so many places that you can apply to. So my mom and I started putting a business together, mostly making product to eventually sell. Then I got a job, which was great. But between work and wedding planning the business got put on hold, but now that the wedding is over the business will be a big focus again.
And I'm trying really hard to get back into school, but I can't afford it on my own so I created a fundraiser at fundly.com to ask for help. The link is here if you're interested. I'm trying to figure out my direction, but I'm confident things will work out.
Other changes. I have a lot of plants and spend the time I can in the garden/expanding the garden. I love this, which has encouraged me to actually switch my major over to Horticulture. I've also become a chicken mommy and that has been a fun adventure!
Things I'd like to focus on:
- Taking pictures/photography
- Writing daily
- Blogging regularly
- Cooking meals at home regularly to eat TOGETHER
- Getting into an exercise routine
- Salvaging what I can of 52 in 2014
Let's see how it goes =]
